Allow me to introduce myself – my name is Mat. I pursued Film and Moving Image Production at Norwich University of the Arts, abbreviated as FMIP @ NUCA.
My journey with a camera began at the age of 14, filming skateboarding videos with friends on mini DV tapes and capturing family holiday moments on a disposable Fuji – the passion for photography was evident from the start.
Growing up in Norwich, I've always felt ensconced in a beautiful goldfish bowl. While everything one needs is within arm's reach, it also fosters a yearning for adventure. Traveling the globe with camera in hand, I've refined my craft in less-than-ideal conditions. From shooting documentaries in Sweden and Vancouver to photographing world-class freerunning athletes, my lens has seen it all before returning to the comfort of Norwich. Here, I explore the winding cobbled streets and the serene Norfolk broads, always seeking a fresh perspective.
I possess a keen eye for all things aesthetically pleasing and pride myself on my ability to uncover the beauty in any scenario. I firmly believe that every moment holds the potential for a golden photograph.
